Leaks under the kitchen sink

The cupboard under the sink is where most kitchen leaks start. Tap connectors, isolation valves, the waste trap and appliance hoses all meet in a small space and get knocked by whatever else is stored there. A slow drip can soak into the cabinet base for months before anyone notices. We find the joint that is leaking and fix it properly.

Blocked and smelly kitchen wastes

Kitchen sinks block more than any other fitting, mostly because of fat and food scraps. A smell from the plughole usually means debris sitting in the trap or a trap that has lost its water seal. We clear the trap and waste, and if the blockage is further down, we deal with that too.

Fitting new sinks and taps

We fit the sink and tap you have chosen and connect the supplies and waste. Some modern taps need higher water pressure than older systems give, so check the tap’s requirements or ask us before you buy.

New kitchens

If you are having a new kitchen fitted, the plumbing usually needs doing at two stages: first fix, before the units go in, to get pipes and wastes in the right place, and second fix, once the units and worktops are in, to connect the sink, tap and appliances. We can work with your kitchen fitter on both.

Hard water in the kitchen

With water that is moderately hard to very hard, limescale builds up on taps and aerators. Cleaning aerators regularly keeps the flow up, and a tap that has become stiff or drips may just need a new cartridge rather than replacing.
