Who we are

Soundwell Plumbing looks after the everyday plumbing in homes around Soundwell, Staple Hill, Kingswood and the places nearby. We fix leaks, clear blocked drains, repair taps and toilets, sort out pipework and look after the water side of central heating.

Most of the people who call us have something that has just gone wrong. We try to make that easier by answering the phone at any hour, explaining things in plain English and giving a free quote before we start.

How we like to work

• We talk before we quote. A few questions on the phone usually tell us what is going on.
• We quote before we start. You know what the job involves before any work is done.
• We ask before we add. If we find something else, we explain it and you decide.
• We say when it is not for us. If a job needs a gas engineer or an electrician, we tell you.

Why we do not publish prices or reviews here

Plumbing jobs vary too much for a price list to be honest. Two leaks that sound the same on the phone can need very different work. Rather than put up numbers that might not apply to you, we give you a free quote for your job.

About the area

Soundwell grew up as a coal-mining community and later became known for boot and shoe making. Soundwell Baths, once a local landmark, was redeveloped in the late 1980s as Kingswood Leisure Centre, and Soundwell Park is still the area’s main green space. Like much of this side of Bristol, it has a lot of older housing, and that shapes a lot of the plumbing we see.
